Hello Sunshine - {SSSC266}

 Hello!  It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
For my card, I used one of my favorite new stamp sets from Papertrey Ink, Noted along with the coordinating hello die to create a shaker card.  I started out with a summer sun card base, then used a piece of designer paper from the PTI Shakers & Sprinkles pack.  I used my circle dies to cut the window and frame for my shaker, once those were cut I taped a piece of clear acetate to the backside of my designer paper piece over the cut out circle and added foam tape around the circle and the edges of designer paper piece.  I placed some shaker bits in the center of my circle on the card base and taped on my designer paper piece on top.  I stamped the sunshine sentiment on a white banner and tape that over the bottom half of my shaker circle and then die cut four of the black Hellos and glued them together for some thickness and taped that just above the white banner.

That's it for me, thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Skatin' By - {C4C283}

 Happy Saturday!  Today is the last Saturday of the month and the last day I'll be hosting over at the Crazy-4-Challenges site.  I'd like to give a big thank you to my fellow Sweet Sunday Sketch team mate, Vicki Burdick for being our Crazy-4-Challenges guest designer this month and for sharing her beautiful projects with us.

Here is the challenge for this week:
Since today is World Penguin Day and tomorrow is National Go Birding Day, lets create a card or project using some type of bird.
 For my card, I used the Mama Elephant stamp sets Arctic Penguins, Jolly and Merry and Happy Everything to create a birthday card.  I also used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Noted for my gray chevron along the bottom. I used The Card Concept Challenge #33 as inspiration and pulled the colors and chevron from the photo above.

Happy Birthday to You - {TYIC#20}

Hi there!  It's time for the Tag You're It! Challenge #20 and our inspiration for this challenge is the lovely tag below by design team member Jen Mitchell.
Jen's tag is so striking and inspiring with the ombre colors and bold black, such great design.  I probably copied too closely to her design but I just loved her tag so much I couldn't find myself varying from it.  I used a Magenta bird stamp that I've had for a while (love a good bird stamp and Magenta stamps have been around for years).  I heat embossed the image using white powder, then used blending sponges to add my colors.  From the top I used limeade ice, daffodil delight and then hawaiian shores at the bottom.  I spritzed my tag with water for a bit of texture, added my heat embossed sentiment (PTI Garden Grace), a black punched circle with black and white bakers twine at the top and a few sequins to finish it off.

Have a great day!

Happy Mother's Day Roses - {PP241/CTS#119}

 Hello!  I had some time in my craft studio over the weekend and was able to create a few cards, one of them is the Mother's Day card I'm sharing today.  I used two challenges as inspiration for my card, the first one is the Paper Players Challenge #241 Clean and Simple: Watercolor and the second CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #119.
For my card, I used the Altenew stamp set Painted Flowers and for the sentiment the PTI stamp set Happy Hydrangea.  I used an aqua mist card base and a piece of watercolor paper to first stamp my roses and leaves (raspberry fizz and limeade ice) then wet the area around the stamped roses and drop in aqua mist ink using my paintbrush.  Once that was dry, I stamped the black outline for the roses and added my sentiment banner along with some diamond Stickles on the roses and a few sequins for my background.

I hope you have a good Monday!

Congrats - {SSSC265}

Well hello there!  Thanks for popping in!  It's time for a new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge
I'm in graduation mode here at our house since my daughter is a senior this year (how did that happen? sniff sniff. Kids grow up way too fast).  Anyhoo, her school colors are black and gold and I know I'll be needing some graduation cards for some of her friends parties and I'll also be selling some graduation cards and tags in my shop.  I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Enclosed: Graduate along with the coordinating die.  I started out with a black card base, then added a stamped summer sun panel down the middle.  The graduation hat was die cut twice from textured black cardstock with the top of the hat being popped up after adding a black brad and the tassel.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Mother's Day - {C4C282}

Hello friends!  It's the third Saturday of the month over at the Crazy-4-Challenges site and time for a sketch challenge.  I designed the sketch below for this week's challenge and hope you'll join in and play along.
For my card, I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Garden Grace to create a Mother's Day card.  I started out with a white card base, then added an embossed center panel of aqua mist.  Next I added my sentiment banner and stamped and die cut floral piece.  I stamped the outline of the leaves in tropical teal and the inside in aqua mist and for the roses, I stamped the outline in scarlet jewel and the insides in rose red (su).  I added some red Stickles to the centers of the roses for a little sparkle and popped the whole image up using foam tape.

Thank You - {SSSC263}

 Happy Easter!  Are you ready for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge?
 I decided to go with a card that had the look of spring for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch.  I used an old PTI favorite of mine Garden Variety and use the pretty tulips from Bitty Bouquets to create a thank you card.  I used the Picnic Plaid impressions plate on the bashful blue background, a banner of daffodil delight, a strip of yellow gingham and several die cut and stamped tulip bouquets to fill my watering can.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy this blessed holiday.
